NAME - thanks for your question. We offer shuttle service to the Greensboro and Charlotte airports at designated times a year, but not Raleigh-Durham. You can see the shuttle schedule outlined here: https://parking.wfu.edu/shuttle-services/airport-shuttle-services/. There is also a private car service on that website that families can hire for service to Raleigh (or to Greensboro or Charlotte if a student needs to go at a time outside our posted shuttle runs).
The caution I always offer families thinking that they would rather fly in to Charlotte or Raleigh is that you might be able to get a direct flight to those larger airports (or a cheaper fare), but it can be very expensive to pay for ground transportation 80-90 miles from campus. Whereas if you connect to Greensboro, it is a lot easier/cheaper to get to campus (Uber, etc.) There are typically many flights from Charlotte or Raleigh to Greensboro on a daily basis, so even if you miss your connection, highly likely to be able to get on another plane later.
There is no right or wrong, just what works best for your family. Hope this gives you a place to start in your thinking
Best,
Betsy
