Thank you for your question. Here is what my colleague on the Workday team has told me:

"If your student has added you, first, please check your spam folders for messages from wfu@myworkday.com, which may also be labeled WFU Workday Notification. If you don’t see the two emails, one with your username and a login link and a second one with your temporary password, please visit Ask Deac and submit a New Ticket to have your password reset. You can do this anytime you need it reset in the future, too."
